Welcome, welcome! I will be joining the faculty of the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at Yale in the summer of 2023.

Graduate students: I am always happy to chat with prospective students about opportunities at Yale and elsewhere. If you think you might be interested in joining my lab, please email me so we can set up a time to discuss our research interests and mentoring styles. Typically the search for potential programs and advisors ramps up in the fall, but it is never too early to get the conversation started. In your email, please describe your background, research interests, CV, and why you are potentially interested in my lab specifically. Yale EEB’s application deadline is typically at the beginning of December. I also encourage prospective students to apply to graduate fellowships (such as the NSF GRFP, Ford Foundation, and Hertz Fellowships), and can help advise students on these applications.

Postdocs: I am happy to find ways to collaborate with postdocs. Please email me with your research interests, CV, and potential ideas if you are interested in applying to an external (such as the NSF PRFB, NOAA C&GCFord Foundation, L'oréal Women in Science, Life Sciences Research Foundation, and David H. Smith Conservation Research Fellowships) or internal fellowships (such as YIBS and YCNCC postdoc fellowships).

Yale undergraduates: There are opportunities to work directly with me or others in the lab to get started with research. Please email me your interests and CV and we can set up a time to talk about what you are looking for.

Visiting students: There will be opportunities for me to host visiting students in my lab group. Please email me with your research interests and potential funding support. If my lab is not the best fit, I will try to provide guidance in looking elsewhere.

Stay tuned!
